My main expertise is in Linux, HP-UX and Solaris. With Linux I have more than 10 years of professional experience, followed by HP-UX with more than 4 years and some Solaris. This includes the setup of hard- and software, maintenance, monitoring and administration.

Setup and Installation

I can help you in choosing the right hardware, installing and setting it up, or supporting you in selecting the right co-location provider. Upgrading your current hardware and planning a migration path is also no problem. Of course, installing the software and customizing it will be done as well, as it is an integral part in providing the complete solution to your requirement.

Maintenance

To keep your current environment up and running and, more importantly, secure, maintenance is important. Installing new versions of a software without downtime, or installing new patches is only part of the maintenance work that regularly has to be done to ensure smooth and continuous operation.

Monitoring

Another part in keeping your environment up and running is to know when something goes wrong. To achieve this, more than one option is available – from the small, open source solution like Nagios to the big ones like HP OpenView. Choosing and implementing these will be done by me if your requirement demands mission critical or high availability.

Administration

Whatever has to be done to keep up with new requirements. For example adding new users to the environment, changing settings in the mail server or customize the web server. Just to name a few.
